Questions & answers

What is NanaBooks?
A children's storybook about your family's grandparent, written from your answers to a few simple questions, with pictures drawn to look like them.
Who is this for?
Children ages 3 to 8, and the grandparents they love. Grandparents can fill it in themselves, or a parent can do it for them.
What do I need?
About 20 minutes, a few memories, and one or two clear photos of the grandparent's face.
Do I have to finish it all at once?
No. Your answers save as you go. We email you a link so you can come back anytime, even days later.
Do I need an account or password?
No. Just your email address.
What does the book look like?
A 32-page hardcover picture book, 6 by 9 inches, with a full-page illustration for every part of the story. You can also get a digital copy to read on a phone or tablet.
Will the pictures really look like Nana?
They're illustrated in a warm storybook style, drawn from the photos you send. Before we make the book, we'll show you a few portraits and you choose the one that looks most like her.
What if I don't like something?
Every page is checked by a real person before your book is finished. If a picture isn't right, we'll redo it.
How long does it take?
Your book is ready in 2 to 3 days. Printed books take a little longer to arrive.
How much does it cost?
We'll share prices here soon.
Is my family's information safe?
Yes. Your photos and stories are private and used only to make your book. That includes any photos of your grandchildren: we use them only to draw their picture for the book. Everything is deleted 30 days after your book is delivered. Our full privacy notice is linked at the bottom of every page.
I'm stuck. Who can help?
Email hello@nanabooks.com. A real person will answer.
