Privacy notice

• Your email address.
• Your answers about the grandparent, and the grandchildren's first names, ages and what they look like.
• The photos you add: the grandparent (today and when younger), their spouse or partner if you choose, and the grandchildren if you choose.
• For a hardcover, the shipping address (and payment, which is handled by our payment provider, not stored by us).

Only to write and illustrate your book and to email you about it. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except with the services below that help us make your book.

Adding a photo of a grandchild is optional. If you do, we use it only to draw that child's picture for the book. It is never shown publicly and never used for anything else, and it is deleted with everything else 30 days after your book is delivered.

Please only add a child's photo if you are their parent or guardian, or have their parent or guardian's permission. If you'd rather not, the description you give is all we need.

• Google (Gemini) draws the pictures from your photos and descriptions.
• Anthropic (Claude) writes the story from your answers.
• Supabase stores your photos and answers in private storage.
• Resend sends our emails. Vercel runs the website.
• For hardcovers, our printer receives the finished book and your shipping address.

We use the paid versions of Google's and Anthropic's services, which do not use your photos or answers to train their AI. They may keep them for a short time (up to 55 days) only to check for misuse.

Your photos are kept in private storage, never on public web pages. When you or we view them, it's through a link that stops working within an hour. Your story page is reached only through the private link we email you.

30 days after your book is delivered, we delete all your photos, every drawing, your answers and the book file. Please download your book before then. We keep only your email address and a record of your order, for receipts and support.

NanaBooks is for adults (18 and over). The books are for children; the website is not.
